STERLING, KY (April 2015) – Data Dimensions is proud to announce it has opened its newest production facility in Mt. Sterling, Ky., which is about 40 miles east of Lexington.
The 11,000 square-foot location, which began operations on March 23, represents a $3.2 million investment on the part of Data Dimensions. The facility, formerly a pharmacy, has been converted into a leading-edge data processing center with CCTV cameras, a proximity badge system, multiple-information system monitoring, privacy protection systems and other security measures. The facility will meet the same rigorous security and disaster recovery measures as Data Dimensions’ other processing centers as services are expanded in the coming years.
There are 15 employees working at the Mt. Sterling location now, and the facility is expected to create as many as 200 jobs for the area. Work includes document imaging and document workflow processes, with one shift currently handling the workload. But with additional employees being added, Data Dimensions expects multiple shifts to be working in Mt. Sterling within the next year. In fact, by the end of 2016, Data Dimensions will be managing more than 110 million images at the Kentucky facility.
“Data Dimensions is continually growing, and our new Mt. Sterling processing facility is evidence of that growth,” said Jon Boumstein, Data Dimensions President and CEO. “The decision to open a location in Kentucky was an easy one, given the combination of a quality workforce and a strong work ethic, along with strong support from the Mt. Sterling community.”
In Aug. 2014, when Data Dimensions announced plans to open the Mt. Sterling facility, Kentucky Gov. Steve Beshear expressed his enthusiasm for the project.
“This is an outstanding boost to the economy here in Mt. Sterling and the Commonwealth,” Beshear said. “Data Dimensions is a highly successful firm, and we couldn’t be more excited about the jobs it will create.”
Data Dimensions, which is based in Janesville, WI, also has locations in Brown Deer and Brookfield, WI, as well as Clinton, IA.
